There are a wide range of restaurants, pubs and takeaways throughout West Cornwall. Here is just a short selection of our recommendations;

Beck’s Fish & Chips, Carbis Bay

Try these and you won’t be disappointed! Service is fast so even if the queue is long it shouldn’t take too long to get served.

Badger Inn, Lelant

Attractive village local with excellent food.

‘Meaderies’

There are a number of ‘meaderies’ around the area. These are a real experience - eat delicious chicken & chips from wooden plates (no knives & forks!) just like in the ‘olden-days’ and wash it down with full strength Cornish mead or blackberry wine. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere makes it a very special night out. Reservations not necessary but arrive early to put your name on the list because they get very busy at weekends. Try any of the following;

  • Trewelland Meadery, Pendeen
  • Waterside Meadery, Penzance. Beside Penzance harbour, this is my favourite. Have a drink in the lovely Dolphin Inn opposite while you are waiting.

Gurnard’s Head Hotel, near Pendeen

Good bar food and an excellent restaurant (not too expensive).
