Service is fast so even if the queue is long it shouldn’t take too long to get served. Badger Inn, Lelant Attractive village local with excellent food. ‘Meaderies’ There are a number of ‘meaderies’ around the area. These are a real experience - eat delicious chicken & chips from wooden plates (no knives & forks!) just like in the ‘olden-days’ and wash it down with full strength Cornish mead or blackberry wine. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere makes it a very special night out. Reservations not necessary but arrive early to put your name on the list because they get very busy at weekends. Try any of the following; Trewelland Meadery, Pendeen Waterside Meadery, Penzance. Beside Penzance harbour, this is my favourite. Have a drink in the lovely Dolphin Inn opposite while you are waiting. Gurnard’s Head Hotel, near Pendeen Good bar food and an excellent restaurant (not too expensive).
